This album has a number of images from a cruise to the Broken Island Group on the Southwest coast of Vancouver Island during August, 2009. The Broken Islands are a Canadian Marine National Park and are less visited than the San Juan or Gulf Islands in the Pacific Northwest. The route was from Anacortes, WA to Victoria, BC, out the Straits of Juan de Fuca around the corner of Vancouver Island to Barkley Sound. The Broken Islands consist of dozens of small Islands situated in Barkley Sound. The western most Islands are exposed to the Pacific Ocean and the Islands are noted for kayaking, fishing, wild life and the scenery.
