4JH2E Engine Repair

On the passage from Cartagena, Colombia to the San Blas Islands of Panama, the engine overheated. We were losing cooling water through a corroded exhaust manifold. Water was entering the cylinders whenever the engine was shutdown. Back in Port, I removed the injectors and found three cylinders full of water.
It took one and a half days to disassemble the engine, troubleshoot the problem, and order the parts. The next three days were spent cleaning all of the parts. Once the parts arrived, it was another two long days of reassembly. Included in the repair was a replacement of the aging engine mounts.
