3JH2E Engine Mounts

After breaking engine mounts several times, I noticed that the engine mounts DO NOT MOUNT to the proper Yanmar engine mounting design tabs! The original engine mounts were made by Mastery Marine, FL, and simply mounted to the closest point; the transmission! Yes, there are bolt locations there, BUT, Yanmar says this is not the correct location. Mounting the engine there can cause harmonic vibrations that may shear the mounts. Yanmar's service manual identifies the proper engine mounting locations. So, after breaking 3 engine mounts, I had a new mount made that bolts to the proper Yanmar engine mounting location. Note: All the forces tend to be on the port engine mounts (Right Hand props) so I only beefed up the aft port mount, this is the one that kept breaking.
