Saloon Sole Tie-Down
I needed to tie down my two folding kayaks under the saloon table on my IP27. I used eye straps attached to the bulkhead and the base of the settee with #10 machine screws and backing plates, but I did not want to drill into the sole. Instead, I rigged a hard point through the bilge grid. While this would not work for heavy equipment, it should be fine for the kayaks (less than 60 lbs. total for both).
