Line Holders
I've never found a line holder I've loved, so I made my own. It's about as simple a design as there could be, made with nylon webbing, snap covers, sockets and studs. I made mine to hang from the lifelines and will make more to hang from the cabintop handrails, but you can adjust the length and spacing of the snaps to adapt to many other installations: hang them from mast winches or cleats, snap them to bulkheads, etc. The key to the design is the gypsy (double) stud that serves to anchor both snaps: the snap on the top, short strap that secures the line holder to the life line, and the snap on the bottom, long strap that goes through or around the coiled line and secures the line to the line holder.
