Electronics Upgrades

When I purchased this IP37 in 2020 it had a mix of Raymarine ST60, ST5000 and Garmin. On my wish list was a modern integrated system. Key for me as a single-hander were collision avoidance, accurate and integrated electronics together with AIS and WeatherX.
Though I do not have the pictures at present, I also replaced the old Standard Horizon VHF with barely audible RAM mic. Choosing a belt-and-suspenders approach I chose a Standard Horizon with GPS and AIS and replaced the RAM mic with a RAM4.

During my recent 12 day excursion moving my boat from Deale, MD to Colin Mack in Stuart FL for chainplate replacement and other maintenance projects the upgraded Electronics were very beneficial. From AIS tracking and collision avoidance to Doppler Radar I am happy with the upgrades.
I must give kudos to the Raymarine Technical Advisors who spent many hours on the phone with me. Laying out the options I had and providing specific part numbers and hookup instructions. There is but one piece I did not do, namely, replace my working ST5000 with an EV Autohelm. The only shortcoming is that I cannot fully control the autohelm from the MFD. But, that did not justify a $3,000 cost to achieve
