Dorades, Cowl Vents & Cowl Vent Guards

While not quite Air Conditioning, I decided to remove the two 'mushroom solar vents and remaining plastic cowl vent.
I had wanted to purchase Cowl Vents from IP, but sadly they were out and estimated about 6months before new ones would arrive.
I did purchase the Cowl Vent Guards from IP.
The original smoke colored perspex had holes that were way too big for my new 316 SS Cowl Vents. So, I cut 1/2 inch King Starboard to match the original dorade covers. I used a router to round the top edges of the starboard. Then using a heat gun and clamps I shaped the starboard to match each of the original perspex covers. Having done that, I then installed each new dorade cover in place and using a 3 1/8" hole cutter cut the holes for the new Cowl Vents. With the Cowl Vent rings in place and the Cowl Vent on top of the rings I then determined the position of the Cowl Vent Guards with enough room to remove the Cowl Vents and then install the closing plates if needed.
I am happy with the result. However, I will soon make one slight modification to the dorade covers - I will cut a little away at the back to provide for better water exit should water get into the box.
THere is also a picture of an IP350 which has nicer curved Cowl Vent Guards, but, I could not find similar ones. I did use this IP350 to reference position of the Cowl Vent Guards.
