Monarch installation of new PYI Linear Drive for Autopilot NEWAVECO
I had lots of trouble with my Raymarine ST6002+ Compact SmartPilot with S3G Corpack and very, very poor customer support from Raymarine. The best solution to my difficult situation was to trash the Ramymarine linear drive and move up to a more professional product with good customer support.
I contacted Phil Quartararo at PYI Inc. P 425-355-3669 or 800-523-7558, F 425.355.3661 with Lecomble & Schmitt. After explaining to Phil the issues with my Raymarine linear drive, always locking and very underpowered for my IP45 he suggested the Lecomble & Schmitt Linear Drive the #50 Linear drive #2201790 12Volt with a cost of $2,372.10. I also order the Maintenance Kit.
I had Steve with Snead Island Boat Works over in Bradenton, Florida carry out the installation of the new Linear Drive. I believe SIBW is one of the better if not the best yard I have ever used.
In the photos you can see the new base for the Lecomble & Schmitt Linear Drive and the foundation for the Hydraulic Pump on the starboard side in the locker.
