New Cabin Sole: IP26
Replaced the rotting sole in my 30-year-old 26 with interior NuTeak: 2" x 3' strips of PVC teak, 1/16" thick, with 1/4" x 3' PVC teak strips. Cheaper than their exterior product due to less UV protectant. Alternative was PlasTeak, which does not have a similar interior product. Upon removing the old sole, I discovered severe delamination of the fiberglas pan sub- sub-floor, which required extensive FG repair before a new 3/8" marine ply subfloor could be installed. The floor in the IP26 is both curved and not square, which makes cutting an exact template very difficult -- the 2" strips (dryfit first) make it easier to custom-fit as you go. Total cost around $900.
