Nav Station Re-do

Sunday - October 25, 2015Views: 1139Taken at Chesapeake Bay
We're putting in a NMEA 2000 backbone with Raymarine i70, p70 and i60 instruments at the helm, SPX-30 auto pilot, DSM30 sounder and AIS650, in addition to the existing C120W MFD and 24" digital radar. With all the new gear we needed additional DC breakers so we opted for a sub panel. After giving it much thought we decided to reorganize the instrument panel for a more useful layout. It was a little unnerving going in and removing everything but when it was all done I had a good understanding of what went where. That's really come in handy since then. We were fortunate to be doing this while the galley was torn apart because we had access to the wire run behind the cabinets on the starboard side which feeds into the cockpit locker.
