Last Spring (2012) we modified our steering pedestal to provide a lower mount for a multi-function display (Raymarine C120W). The SS hoop was cut down and laid back to form a small half-round platform where the ball-mount for the display was bolted to. This has worked well and allows the driver to see over the display while seated at the wheel.The big drawback here was that we no longer had a place to mount our cup holder. After giving it some thought I made a new one that mounts to the platform and is in easy reach for the driver. It looks big but mostly uses space that was taken up just forward of the wheel. It also helps to make more room on the small teak table by moving the glasses up and out of the way. We plan to add LED lighting under the cup holder that will brighten up the table below.
