2016 IPY Minivous Spring Cove Marina
The fleet gathered on Aug 27, 28, 2016 at Spring Cove Marina, Rock Hall Maryland for a very informal mini rendezvous, we call this a Mini-Vous. Well it turned out to be 31 boats represented! WOW. We were hoping to have 6-8 boats attend and visit, well, when we all get onto an IPYOA project and when we all advertise, email, facebook, promote and chat it up, this is what happens within the IPY fleet. Thank you goes out to Ed and Debbie owners of Whiteaker Yacht Sales who sponsored the food and the BBQ as well as the Sunday morning muffins. Thank you also goes out to Sharon and Jack of S&J Yachts Sales for the cold beer and lots of wine during the cocktail time. We really appreciate our dealer support of the Island Packet Fleet. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
We also need to give a big big BIG THANK YOU to Madelyn Reni, owner of Spring Cove Marina and our host for the event. She along with Ray Sample, IP 27 Wye's Guy, really worked hard to make this event happen. The property always looks so beautiful. Thank you very much Madeyn and Ray!.
I think for a simple, informal Minivous, we all really had a great time. Here are 80+ photos of the the event taken with my cell phone. It was fun fun fun. NOTE: We hope to do this again next year, Aug 26, 27, 2017.
