Vang turning block

I installed this turning block for the vang. I removed one screw from the deck organizer and installed the strap. I then drilled a hole for the other end of the strap near the base plate for the deck organizer hoping to hit the aluminum plate embedded in the deck. I found it, tapped the hole and placed the second screw. I could have drilled and tapped for both screws, but found no reason.
