Travels In Colombia

Trish and I took a 10 day inland trip into Colombia. The long bus rides were a bit painful, but the scenery and people were more than rewarding.
I'm happy to report that Colombia is open to travel and tourism and is now quite safe. We did not encounter problems of any kind. Five years ago, according to one resident, "Colombia deserved it's poor reputation." The first photo tells the story of Colombia pretty well--the current President, Uribe, and his army have made the country safe to travel in and given Colombians a renewed sense of optimism and pride.
