Teak Varnish Examples

Every year, by the end of the season, I get the teak in nearly perfect condition. Then in October, we haul out and shrink wrap protecting the varnish for the winter months. I have maintained IP teak from 1991-2010 (today) nearly 20 years, and find that servicing varnish (epifanes) is no more difficult than cetol. For me, it is one service coat a year. I break the boat into quarters doing one qtr at a time. Then the handrails, eyebrows, and cockpit combings are individual jobs as well. Each of these jobs, or sections, take about 2 hrs to service. This is the best way for me to do the teak, in small jobs when I have time.
