Steering reinforcement

The helmseat steering shaft bearing mount appears to be the weak link in the steering. My wheel shaft had left to right play as the fiberglass helmseat flexed. I added the aluminum strap, bolted to the bearing/brake assembly and lagged to the corners with all SS hardware. The shaft guide was also loose, I drilled the 3 wood screw holes clear through to the back of the bearing for 1/4 X 4 SS pan head bolts and nuts. Solid as a rock now.
