Solar Panel Install

Needed to have back up power for four (4)8D house batteries. Purchased a Kycera 130 and regulator. The mounting kit for the solar panel was very expensive($414).
Instead of spending the $414, I purchased 2 Shakespere stainless(SS) antenna mounts and two (2) SS 24 inch extensions. I welded, 1 inch SS tubing to the extensions to make a complete support for the panel. Total cost for the homemade mounting kit $82 dollars. Big savings. "The panel just went through a gale force storm and performed well."
