Each Winter when we are in the Caribbean aboard Gra'inne we normally watch movies and TV shows that we have on DVD. This year I bought a Western Digital Media Player and have been archiving programming to a portable laptop drive. The media player accepts the laptop drive via a USB port and we will now be able to watch our favorite programming without having to lug around DVD's.
The media player has component and HDMI outputs and interfaces to the drive via a USB 2.0 port. The player also has an Ethernet port so that media can be accessed across a network.
