Liferaft mounting on Deck

I built a cage to hold my liferaft and bolted it to the deck.The lid is designed to double as a seat or to be stood upon to reach the sail cover etc.The lid is hinged and held closed by a stainless steel pin. When leaving the boat I can padlock the`lid for security.
If/when I go offshore I plan to add a hydropstatic release to the lid to automatically release the liferaft if we sink!
