Option was entire handle kit at $25 or so, or the rework shown in the pictures.
Originally the red lock had integrally molded bearing ears. Those broke. Now, a 0.093 X 0.38 dowel pin serves as the pivot point for the lock. Hole drilled was bit smaller than 0.093 for a simple press fit.
