It's hot here in Georgia. Hated to part with $800 for a Cruisair Carry On Unit. Found a new 5,000 BTU window unit at WalMart with a small footprint for just $65. Took an old sail bag and cut & sewed to snugly fit over the salon hatch. Also used a piece of foam board, secured with velco to keep the supply & return to the unit separated. Works great. The hottest air in the cabin at the top is sucked into the return and the cold air from above tumbles into the cabin. I place a tarp over the unit in the event of rain.
