The IP40 helm poses a challenge for mounting a radar/chartplotter, as the sailing instruments take up most of the space in the pedestal guard.Other IP models with an Edson Pedestal may have the same issue. This solution shows a RAM mount which is mounted to the pedestal top. This mount brings the display closer to the helsmsperson, and allows adjustment in all directions. The cabling is led through a cable clam. This Raymarine display functions as a repeater of the navstation unit, and is linked via HSB 2,eliminating the radar cable.
