IP27 Asymmetrical Spinnaker

Thanks to the many on this list who've answered my questions and made suggestions over the past year or so about how best to rig and use the asymmetrical spinnaker on my IP27 “Turtleheart”. These photos show how I've rigged the spinnaker. It’s a 508 square foot “reacher,” easy to fly in light and heavy air and useable over a wide range of apparent wind angles. I took the photos on Long Island Sound off of Rye mid-day on December 3, 2006. The breeze was out of the west (shifting to southwest) at 4-6 kts. building to 10-12 kts. We sailed at apparent wind angles of about 80 to 150 degrees at 5-6 knots most of the time. Rigging details, including parts numbers and sizes, are contained in the accompanying Word document.
