Home Theater

After living with a 23" TV in the Main Salon we felt the need for more comfort and a better system. We installed a 37" flatscreen monitor in the forward stateroom at the foot of the bunk that's fed by a Western Digital movie controller tied to a 4TB hard drive. We can also watch DVD's through a Blu-Ray player but the hard drive is the real news. Since we live aboard our boat full time we just don't have the room for storing DVD's. So far we have about 700 full length movies recorded to the drive. A second drive is also used as backup for our two Mac's and stores all our music too. Now we have our storage down to two small boxes about 7" x 7" x 2" and we have plenty of room for more. The screen only draws 45 watts and weighs 23 pounds. This whole system is ideal for a boat.
