Hatch Replacement 101

Monday - January 14, 2008Views: 5610
I ran across a couple of new Lewmar Hatches on Ebay so I decided to replace a couple of mine that were getting a little tired.

To break the old seal I used a piece of 2 x 4 cut to fit under the flange and a small hydraulic jack.

Need to go easy and give it a few minutes. Just work your way around the flange using some wooden spacers.

The new flange holes did not align up exactly so I filled the old ones with epoxy and drilled new holes.
