In order to reduce odor from salt water standing in head lines, a fresh water supply was plumbed to the head. A dedicated 13 gallon flexible fresh water supply tank was installed in the lazarette, plumbed to the manifold. The salt water intake was preserved, allowing the head to be flushed with either fresh or salt water, as available.The manifold which controls the intake is shown.
