IPYOA FLEET:
I have been updated by Leslie, that the factory will be presenting the NEW Island Packet 349 IN THE WATER at the 2018 Annapolis Boat Show. This will be the first time in many years that the factory has put a NEW IP into the show. Also at the show will be a new BLUE JACKET 40 and also, as usual, a used brokerage IP. They also plan to have Island Packet Hats and shirts for sale at the show. We all can't wait to actually step foot on a NEW Island Packet Yacht. This IP 349 is listed at $279,000 on the factory website.
Here is the layout of the IP 349:

My study of this yacht is that it may feel a lot like the IP 35 (which we have owned since 2001 and have sailed 30,000 nm ) We are interested in comparing this new IP 349 to the IP 35 which we know so well. I do like the solent rig, but then again we have MACK SAILS and a CODE ZERO which is a great rig. Overall, this will be wonderful to inspect a newly built Island Packet Yacht. It will be interesting to compare the new yacht to the existing used Island Packet Market. I am excited for this show.
PS:
Of course we, the IPYOA fleet will gather up at the FLEET RESERVE at NOON every day. We hope to see you all there. More on that in this post here

The Factory has put out these details of the IP 349:
THE ISLAND PACKET 349
• Solent-style rig is standard featuring a standard mainsail with a working jib and optional lightweight 155% reacher or asymmetrical that mounts on the integral bow platform and furled with Harken systems. The working jib is fitted with a Hoyt Boom that is self-tending and improves performance with its close sheeting and self-vanging feature, while the large optional reacher or asymmetrical boost performance in light air or when off the wind. The fully battened mainsail is equipped with a low friction Battcar system and drops easily into a pocket boom with an integral cover and lazy jack system.
• This rig is easy to manage and has ample horsepower and versatility for optimizing performance in a wide range of conditions. All sheets lead to the cockpit primary winches near either helm for short-handed convenience.
• Customizable interior options. On the starboard side of the salon, there are many seating options available:
o 2 captain’s chairs
o 1 captain chair with 1 settee and table
o Solid settee
o 2 settees with adjustable table in the middle
• Many interior features never seen on past Island Packets
• Hull side ports for increased light down below.
