Whole Wheat Single Rise Bread was created by hayden
I have changed up my "Hayden Bread" recipe to now have Whole Wheat. Here is the recipe I have posted at:
boatrecipes.com/

2 packs of rapid rise yeast
3 Tbs sugar
1 Tbs salt
3/4 cup oatmeal
2 cups of whole wheat
4 cups of bread flour (hold 1/2 cup back for kneading)
Mix dry ingredients very well

Water & Oil
2 1/4 cups water at 120 degrees
5 Tbl oil
Mix water and oil together, then add to dry.

Directions:
1. Mix dry ingredients well
2. Pour mixed water/oil into dry
3. Knead until well mixed
4. Add flour to kneading until non sticky
5. Let dough rest 5-10 min
6. Prepare 2 bread pans, spray with Pam
7. Remove dough ball, cut in half
8. Knead each into loaf shapes
9. Place in bread pans
10. Let rise 60 minutes
11. Bake 25 min at 350-375 until light brown on top. Turn 180 and switch sides at 15 minutes to even baking.

Comments:
We have been making this bread for many years now. We no longer buy bread, this is just way too good and way too easy to make.

This looks really good, Hayden. I'm going to try it. Let me ask you, though. When I use my oven, it really heats up the boat. Is it hard to bake when you are in a tropical climate like the Bahamas?

Chris:

We bake all the time in the Bahamas on Island Spirit. We use our oven several times a week. We bake all our own bread with this recipe only. We have not bought bread in 2+ years! Matter of fact, I am backing in at home as well. Give it a try, it is simple.
