Shipping Supplies to the Caribbean

Each year when we return to our boat in Grenada we end up carrying four checked bags stuffed full to the weight limit of boat parts and supplies on the plane. This year we are taking advantage of Tropical Shipping and the Less Than Container Load (LCL) shipping mode. We are now packing two 70 gallon round shipping barrels full of everything you can imagine for shipment back to Grenada. We will be delivering the packed barrels to the LCL terminal in Riveria Beach, Florida but material can also be shipped to the terminal using regular ground transportation.
We first learned of the program from some Canadian Cruiser friends last year and then in talking with a medical student in Grenada we leared of the barrel shipping mode.
Cost of a barrel is $30, shipping to Grenada is about $110, and shipment time is about 5 - 7 days. We have an agent in Grenada who will handle customs and storage for us. Since we are a "Vessel-in-Transit" we are allowed to import supplies and equipment for personal use at a very reasonal fee.
Update - Barrels made it to Grenada in 7 days and were cleared through Customs and in storage waiting for us in 5. Total weight of shipment was 598 lbs and cost was $230.
