Our IP35 is a 1994, and we have decided to replace all the fuel lines from the tank to the injectors. The reason for this is due to information learned during our Mack Boring Diesel Class, where we learned that the new fuel additives and new diesel fuels are deteriorating the fuel lines that are older than year 2000. The hint that this is happening is small black specs and rubber flakes found in the primary fuel filter. We have seen this and so, as a preventative measure, we are pulling out all old fuel lines and making and installing new fuel lines.

Here are the photos from day 1, removing is easy. This took about 3 hours to remove the entire fuel system. Next we will make or have made, new fuel lines.........NEXT DAY: We decided to install our own system using hose barbs and AWAB clamps. We used New fuel lines: Shields Series 368 Type A1-15 J1527 1/4" fuel lines. We could have used 5/16" as that is what the factory is now using. Our boat had 1/4" lines so we replaced with the same size.

The price of these fuel lines are around $1.85/foot. We used: 113" Tank to Filter; 98" Pumps to Yanmar; 98" Yanmar return to tank.
