Maine Rendezvous 2011 Saturday
Visibility Public
Day two of the 2011 Maine Rendezvous hosted by Norm and Mary Pierce of Pierce Yachts, was another wonderful day. We had breakfast at the Boothbay Harbor Inn and then a presentation by author and schooner captain Jim Sharp. Jim wrote the book "WITH RECKLESS ABANDON, memoirs of a boat-obsessed life" and he present a slide show of his adventures in schooner sailing in and around Maine. Jim is also the founder of the Sail Steam and Powerboat Museum in Rockland Maine! The second presentation was with Norm and Gram who addressed the politics of working with a boat yard. Viewpoints from both sides were presented. At noon we gathered for the traditional group photo and then after lunch we had a general open forum discussion on the topic of WiFi connectivity onboard. Dinner was a lobster and steak, and the required presentaion of your yacht's poem with a proper public reading. What a fun filled day....Thank you Norm and Mary.
