We have used a boom sunshade for years, now we have a bow tent plus we made side drops. This places the entire boat in shade!

Sides go outside lifelines and shade the deck and teak

Keeping the bow tent high allows for air to flow in and you can walk under it.

Aft piece allow for shading the dinghy and helm. This is also an 8 foot piece and is used vertically behind the helm

Full shade is nice on no wind and hot days

Bow tent and side drops

Top is flat with poles front and back. Top stops at end of boom and does not shade solar panels. Sides are phifertex…

Top is pulled back to back stays and then down to rail

Bow tent needs work, but is OK for now. Center ridge is staysail sheet to mast

Sides tie up to grommets in top piece, clip to rails. These sides are one bolt wide 54" then 8 feet long. Hem and add…

Top stops at back of boom, solar panels OK

View from cockpit. Sun is low, so it is coming in between the bow tent and top sheet
