I (with the help of Rob G.) removed our Sprint 1000 windlass after 4 years of use and replaced this with a Lofrans Tigress. The sprint 1000 was too weak to handle our 44 lb Bruce in deep anchorages like Block Island where you anchor in 30 feet. I had the Lighthouse 1501 paid for but canceled inplace of this one. 1501= $4200, and Tigress= $1700 bucks. Saved enough to pay for a new dinghy!
