IP40-Boomlock Installation Details

The beauty of this preventer system is that only a small control line needs to be led aft. No multiple lines led aft on snatchblocks required. The two preventer lines can be stowed along the boom when not in use, eliminating deck clutter. Details of installation are shown here. Fairly simple to install in under 3 hours. Some forethought is required, however, to plan the path of the control line aft.
