AB Dinghy vs. Caribe Dinghy
Visibility Public
After using our AB 10-VL dinghy now for over one year (June 07-July 08) We are 100% satisfied with this dinghy. This photo album shows the difference between the bow and fiberglass bow of an AB 10-VL dinghy and a Caribe 10 dinghy. The AB fiberglass hull reaches out longer to the bow giving the boat a longer waterline. This gives the bow more displacement and rides higher. The bow also seems to curve up higher than the Caribe. If I were buying again, I would buy the same AB 10 VL dinghy, it is fantastic! Previous to this dinghy we used an Avon 9.1 roll-up air floor for 1996-2007. It was low in the bow, had no real keel, and we always took on bow spray. In the AB 10 VL dinghy we never take on bow spray. It is a very high and dry ride even in chop.
