Jabsco Port-A-Quick Oil Changer
Capacity: 14 Quart Tank
Power: 12 Volts DC ( Reversible Motor ), Draw: 7 Amp
4' Hose with 40" Dipstick Probe

I always like the Jabsco Port-A-Quick Oil Change but it takes up a lot of space with the 14 quart plastic container. It was OK while we were staying at our home port Houston, Texas. We were able to store the unit in our dock locker.

Storing the until onboard took up a lot of space plus it was messy. One big issue the bucket is top-heavy. Anytime you carried the bucket by the handle it would always flip up side down because of the heavy bronze motor.

Before departing Bradenton, Florida for the Bahamas I trashed the bucket keeping the led & motor.

Once arriving Hope Town I dismantled the bronze motor from the led & storing the led onboard. Then I installed the bronze motor in our aft cabin in the locker behind the engine compartment above the shaft. I had onboard new suction hoses & discharge hoses to run forward to the engine with a meter extra in length & for the discharge side of the pump ran enough hose from the compartment out the cockpit porthole with a meter extra are more where I could place a empty gal oil container for storing the oil-waste.

I'm enjoying this set up really has made changing the oil less challenging. I wired the motor to a buss bar inside the stbd deck locker snaking it through a hole along with the sump pump hoses.

Keeping in mind if you have a heading electromagnetic sensor mounted in the aft cabin make sure it's more than one meter from the bronze motor because it will cause a large offset by 90degs are more.
