Needing to remove the mechanical water gauge to address a sticking issue tapped both mental and physical abilities.
Long pipe wrenches, big channellock pliers, all already in the toolbox did not work. New socket and breaker bar did, although the gauge could not be renewed. It stuck while using first fill of the season.
