Vacuum Gauge Installation

Much of what I have read suggests installing a vacuum gauge between the Racor and Yanmar filters. As the Racor filter element clogs, more suction (vacuum) is required to draw fuel. This increased vacuum reading on the gauge (to the designated setting) tells you when to change the Racor filter Element. Racor makes and sells the kit. It's described in the Filter Instruction manual as an accessory. Stevadora 380-145
