I made hatch screens and attached them with pins and catch made from picture hanging parts. The screen hangs down to operate the hatch.

Screen Installed on hatch

Screen opened for opening/closing the hatch. The screen hangs on the mounting pins.

Detail of a screen mounting pin. Made from an "L" shaped picture mounting screw.

The screen is mounted on the pins with holes drilled into the edge.

Parts used to attach the screen.

First try- cloth border with Velcro. It did not work because the glue failed in the Florida heat.

I added snaps at the corners but the velcro on the hatch still failed.
