Be aware that we (Hayden on IP35-165 and Barnaby in London) are always working on this IPYOA.com web site to make it the best we can. Over the past week we worked on new code to make sure that photos uploaded that are smaller will NOT be stretched wider then they originally were. Yes, that was an issue, but now with custom code and money, it has been fixed.
The other item we are currently working on, while Hayden drives I-95 south to Florida, is the new updated forum app. This application was just updated and it has a new more modern look and a few more tools. It also had a major glitch during the upgrade and yes, I get to work on it the day I am packing up and leaving for Florida. Please be aware that we are constantly running a cloned web site on a separate server taking a back up every 24 hours, so we can always restore back a day or two if we have issues. Know also that we are running a third copy as a development server where we try out new ideas and new patches. YES, that is where I should have tried out the new forum version but I did not. I dropped it right onto the live site. OOPS.
So, please be aware, as a 25 year Island Packet Yacht Owner, I am working on this and I am fully invested into this site. I monitor this site many hours a day, and I work on this site many many hours a week. I spend money on this site to upgrade it and to pay my programmer in London. This is a very active site serving thousands of pages a day. I am here and I wanted you all to know that.
My ultimate goal, which will help all IP owners is to combine this site with Stu's site. In time, we all will benefit from that. Until then, I am working hard for the owners, as an owner, and as an IP cruiser living the life.
