Visibility Public

Eleven of the 18 digital photos taken during a magic sundown. My goal is to show how to get a great sunset photo. Camera has a 20x zoom.

This is the sky before sunset.

The last of the sun dips bleow the horizon. Mackinac Bridge at right.

Zooming into the high-color area.

Half an hour after the first shot - wide angle view.

Maximum zoom - it's 17 miles to the bridge.

This may be my favorite.

Half zoom in. This could also be my favorite.

Full zoom - four minutes after photo 5, the last full zoom.

Light is fading fast.

Last zoom - notice high clouds are now dark.

Last shot 43 minutes after photo 1.

A rejected photo. The black blob is probably a bug on the lens.
