S/L Sprint 1000 Windlass Rebuild Brushes

After 4 season I had to rebuild the brushes in my Sprint 1000 windlass. The windlass died on the LAST DAY of my trip to Maine as I returned to the Chesapeake Bay. Perfect because I was able to tear it apart while at my home dock. S/L no longer sells the brushes, (So I was told) so I made my own brushes from stock ones found at the ACE Hardware store. I really need to find a replacement set soon, but for now this worked. UPDATE: I found brushes via FloridaRigging.com who had the item number for the brush kit. He called Lewmar and sure enough they NOW have them! I bought a set @ $187.00 and now have this replacement set. Call Lewmar, ask for #6061076, Brush Kit S1000.
