Network B&G Zeus II with Autohelm ST7000 was created by Dosamantes
We recently installed all new electronics on our IP40, all B&G. I was told by the installer that the Autohelm would work with the Zeus II and be able to provide the sail steer function. Long story short, I now have a new MFD and an auto pilot that do not communicate. Apparently there is a way to get them to talk through NMEA 0183 by using the video connection on the MFD.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. We did not replace the auto pilot because it was working well while everything else was not, and of course there were many other items to spend multiple boat units on.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Ii have the same issue with a Zeus 2 and the older B & G "Network" 0183 based autopilot. The controller is an ACP-1. You're correct that NMEA 0183 data is available on the video cable of the Zeus 2. On the advice of a B & G rep at the Annapolis Boat Show last fall, I connected it to the ACP-1. The autopilot reports No data when I try to send it course instructions. I've searched extensively on line for a solution and posted a request on the Panbo forum but have no resolved the situation. I'd hate to replace a working autopilot controller to fix this. Very expensive!
