Gents,
Our cruising plan for 2012 will include the Florida Keys and across the Gulf Stream to the Bahamas. We hope to leave Anna Maria Island (Tampa Bay) in mid-January. We'll hop-scotch down the coast to Little Shark River then across Florida Bay to Marathon. We'll wait for a weather window and hopefully a sailing flotilla to head across the Gulf Stream to Cat Island or Bimini. From there we would like to explore the Berry Islands then north to the Abacos. Time and weather permitting we'll then return to the Florida Atlantic coast and go feet-dry north of Palm Beach. Probably follow the Intracoastal back around South Florida to Anna Maria Island. This is an ambitious journey for us but we are anxious to use our IP-31 to her full potential. Cruising reports to follow! Mike & Carol 'Nomad' IP-31 #49

That sounds great, i am sure we will see you along the way. We are going the other way. Marathon, Dec and Jan, then Feb west coast of Fla and then back to Marathon for a Bahamas run in March and April.

Congrats on you adventure and putting your IP to work, these are great boats to cruise in.

HI, just read about your cruising plans. Hope yiou have a great trip. I just finished a four week trip in March, from Ft. Lauderdale to Cat, to Chub. The east winds were a bear. Then went all the way to the top of the berrys, making sevearl stops along the way. returned to Nasau, back to bimini, to Lauderdale, to Lower Matecumbe, across the bay to Marco, then on to Destin, the new home for my 31 IP, #136. Wouold enjoy hearing about how your trip went.

skipperr100,
Wish we could have tagged along with you. However it sounds like that was a pretty aggressive schedule and a lot of miles for only 4 weeks. Our trip has been delayed by my work schedule. Had to return to Ohio several times for flying (my job). We return to FL on 23 April and will sail until 8 May. With only 2 weeks we'll probably only sail down to Dry Tortugas and Key West. Next year we'll do the Berry's and Abacos. Thanks for your report. Mike & Carol "Nomad"

Your plan sounds great! I am planning on similar for fall 2012 in my old Bombay 31 piolothouse. I am pretty sure my boat was made by the predicessor to IP.

My boat currently lies at Aqua MArina on the Tombigbee waterway awaiting final repairs. I have had issues getting the needed repairs to my boat. Hopefully it will be have the new motor fully functional soon.

Maybe we willmeet alogn the way.

Good luck.
