Heading North for the summer.

I'm getting my plans together for heading to Maine for the summer. I plan to leave the bay at the beginning of June. I pick up Nephew in New Jersey in mid June. Still trying to work out the details of where to head then. Thinking about straight up to the top and then working our way back for the various summer events. Has anyone heard the timing of the Maine Rendezvous this year? Anyone planning on attending?

Not sure where I want to be for the 4th so I need to figure that out. I have to try to coordinate the Maine Rendezvous with the BLISS Rendezvous.

Any suggestions for must see stops? Anyone else heading up this year?

Whispering Sea is heading North tomorrow from Oriental, NC. We will spend the first week or so with our sailing club in the Pamlico and Albamarle sounds then head up the Dismal Swamp for the Chesapeake and maybe DC before heading to Maine. Hope to hook up with you somewhere along the way. Tom.

Tom, Will you be making the Maine Rendezvous? I haven't heard when BLISS is this year. But it will be posted here once we know.

Hey, hard to say but the timing seems to fit. Last time we were already in the Pennobscot and returned for the rendevous, if we find ourselves in a similar situationthis time, I don't think we will since we lost some days transiting back and forth. Tom

For the summer of 2012, hoping to leave West Coast of Fla. sometime in May and head to the Great South Bay of Long Island (return to my roots) and return shortly after Labor Day making stops along the coast on the way back. Bill Sloan, Hernando Beach Fla. S/V Resolute
