Follow these steps to add Google Map Pins
- Login, then click DIRECTORY
- Click Add a New Map Point

- Fill in the required info, 1, 2, 3, 4
- Enter the name of a Yacht, an Anchorage, or a company. Example, if I am sharing an anchorage, this could be....Swan Creek, MD
- Use this drop down to then select the entry of type.
- Enter your name so we know who recommended this spot.
- Enter your email so others can contact you about this entry.

- WE NOW HAVE AN INTEGRATED MAP that you can click when entering map pins! All you have to do is click this map and your lat / lon will be added into the fields for you! (See how to use map below)

- To use this integrated map, you can double click to zoom in, you can use the + or - to zoom in/out, you can click and drag (hold the mouse button down) drag the map left and right, and you can switch to satellite view as well. Notice: every time you click, the map will calculate the latitude and longitude and convert this to decimals (what Google requires) and then enter these coordinates into the latitude and longitude fields for you! NO NEED TO ENTER YOUR OWN LAT/LON, THE MAP WILL DO IT FOR YOU. (....this one feature took me 8+ hours to work out !)

- The next step is to select the category for your entry. Use the + to expand the folders, then select one category and use the triple arrows on the right to slide it over to the right. This will index your entry.

- The final step is to click SEND and your map pin will be added to the Google Map!

- Map pins are set to auto approval and will be added immediately and will be indexed at the top of the current list for all to see.
- If later, you want to edit your entry, or if you noticed a typo, you can easily do this as well. Simply locate the EDIT button at the bottom of your entry, click that, and make your edits. Don't forget to click SEND when your edits are complete.
- Enjoy the NEW updated version and I hope you have fun sharing your favorite spots with the Island Packet Fleet.
