Andromeda's new canvas

The weakest attribute of Andromeda since acquisition has been her "fly" bimini. It was nothing more than an unsupported piece of canvas zipped to the back of the dodger and stretched back to her arch. After 10+ years of use I can attest to the appropriateness of the "fly" moniker. The damn thing flew all over the cockpit with any measurable wind.
So, after years of suffering and cursing I have finally tossed the whole substandard affair and her traditional dodger over in favor of this tall bimini w/ three piece windshield. It's cantilever design, projects bows forward from her strong Well's arch, w/ side curtains, solstice side sun-screens, and a Lumitec touch control red or white dimmable LED down light. (All by Lippincott Marine Canvas of St. Petersburg. One quality craftsman I might add.)
Now her captain and crew can repose in the cockpit, and whether underway or at anchor, enjoy a markedly improved, civilized ambience.
