Spare manual bilge pump

Does anyone have experience/recommendations for installing a backup manual bilge pump in the cockpit of a 445, 465 or 485 (center cockpit).  While admittedly not exactly a racing boat, we are entering ours in a race to Bermuda this year and race regulations require a spare manual bilge pump to be installed above deck. Trying to figure out the cleanest way (least intrusive) to install.

This is a really important subject and whilst I don't have an answer we have the same problem.all blue water boats should have a manual pump accessible from the cockpit and it should be included in all IPY vessels. many rallies and races require this and a boat safety inspection will highlight it. Retro-fitting is problematic because of the need to run a long large dia pipe. Also the lift is substantial on a centre cockpit 465/485. in theory a perfect vacuum will lift a 10m column of water but the average manual pump is far from perfect and I guess may need priming. Looking forward to a solution.

We have IP 445-11, S/V Make Me Laugh Again, and a group on FB dedicated to IP445/465's. (probably adding 485's soon).
Have you considered a linkage to the existing manual pump so that it can be pumped from the cockpit without relocating the pump?
