I can't figure out how to get the deck wash on my IP 38-168 to pump...

here's what I see.. there is a on/off switch for the windlass near the nav station.. next to the windlass breaker

the pump for the deck wash is located in the forward head, port side and is wired to the windlass button on the deck and the windlass motor..

as a result, I think the deck wash is designed to pump when the windlass is in use... but the motor doesn't turn and I can't get it to pump (obviously)

can you share how your deck wash is wired and works.. thanks

Margo

Our washdown pump is wired to a breaker on the auxilary DC panel. When I turn the circuit breaker on the pump runs.

Use a volt meter and trace power to your pump - chances are you have a corroded connection or perhaps a bad pump.
