Holiday - Summer 2011

Hello Fellow IPers, (great forum Hayden)

Summer plans for Holiday, located in Jamestown/Dutch Harbor, RI) are not too elaborate as we will be preparing for our retirement next year and full time cruising next summer and proceeding down the ICW in the fall.

For this year it will be gunk holing around Narragansett Bay, popping out to Block Island and later in August (approx. the 10th - 17th) we plan on going out to Martha's Vineyard and on out to Nantucket.

Love to meet up with anyone planning to be in the area. Use of our mooring is available if we are not on it. Drop on by and say hello.

We have a great group of knowledgable and fun sailors. Always good to make new friends, share a glass of wine & beer. It's all good.

I hope to get out to Narraganset this summer. Never sailed there before but we frequent Newport and would love to make it there by boat. We are also planning a trip to Nantucket at the end of this month for a few nights. I will post a trip report if its of interest to anyone.

Greetings, Pat and Deb, from accross the Island. Katie C (IP 32-88) is located in East Ferry. We are headed to BI this week. Next weekend (7/9)is Jamestown Yacht Club's annual Cruise to BI, and a chance to meet many Jamestown sailors. Go to jyc.org. JYC is also going to Provincetown the first week in August. That sounds great! Island Spirit would be more than welcome to raft up or use the mooring if Deb and I are out cruising if you are in the area. Same goes for any other IPs visiting Dutch Harbor.

Yes, ICW 2012 might work out if you are transiting south. That would be fun to have some company along the way. I am sure you and Nadeen are just settling in to the retired life and enjoying the summer on the water.

Hi Folks,

We just missed Hayden yesterday coming through Cape Cod Canal. We came up from Oak Bluffs and through Woods Hole in 1/4 mi. viz. Fog cleared at north end of canal around 1000. Now honkered down in Plymouth with A/C to survive the heat wave. Plan to continue to the Boston Bay area Saturday. We're just gunk holing.
